Short biography

Mr. Rosato is an an electrical and electronics engineer specializing in industrial and power plants and consulting, with more than 20 years of experience. An energy expert and fluent in Italian, Spanish, English,French, German and Portuguese, Mario began his career at SWS SRL, one of the largest engineering companies in northern Italy. He designed and directed the construction of two high voltage lines in the
Dominican Republic, industrial and power installations as well as energy audits in Italian factories of ceramic tiles, food,public buildings, and chrome plating lines. He worked as an export manager of the industrial
heating elements and video door phone sectors from 1995 to 1997. In 1997 he was engaged by Aplix SA as general manager of their daughter company in Italy, where he introduced the mould-in hook fasteners technology to the FIAT Group. He sold this patent to Aplix SA in 2000, at which time Mario moved to Spain as General Manager of a company in the automotive software industry.
In 2009 he founded Sustainable Technologies SL. Since then he has won an Innocentive challenge
sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, a challenge sponsored by The Economist on ideas to tackle theglobal climatic change, and prizes of Caixa Manresa and Innovacat, competing at present for the Entrepreneur XXI Prize in Spain. He holds one patent and has several inventions yet to be patented in the Clean Tech sector. He is presently the exclusive importer of Bioprocess Control instruments in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
Mario obtained a scholarship on renewable energies in Italy in 1986 and graduated in Argentina in electric, electronic and environmental engineering in 1988 from Universidad Nacional de La Plata. His thesis on wind turbine design was published as a book in Spain, sponsored by the European Community, in 1992.
Mr. Rosato is research partner of the Marine Biotechnology Institute of Gran Canaria (Spain) and of the Pondicherry Engineering College (India). He also teaches wind power and biogas technology in Italy, at the Consorzio Universitario di Pordenone and at the Aghape Institute. Mario is a Member of the Spanish Association of Scientific Journalists, and writes articles on Clean Technologies for the magazines Tecno EnergĂ­a and Infoenviro.
